tex2ure® profiles

tex2ure® & printer profiles

Blanc Canvas® offers a bespoke profile making service for specific machines. This is charged at £125 per substrate. We will provide you with a test form to print on your machine without any colour management and supply back to you a colour profile to assign to jobs printed on the substrate we profiled.
 
We hold our own tex2ure profile for the Epson 7800 machine which is available from us free of charge.
 
However, for standard printer profiles, we recommend the following settings;

Epson Printers

• NO RIP
• Luster 250 (if using Photo Black inks)
• Velvet fine Art (if using Matte black ink)
• If using a RIP  then use  Fine art paper for Matte inks semi gloss paper setting
• If using Colorburst Rip with Photo Black ink use profile Luster

HP 9000S Printers

• DuraTex (charrette) UNV FAB  in Onyx Postershop  7  4-pass 720HD
• If using Colorburst Rip with Matte Black ink use Sommerset Velvet or Enhanced Matte paper setting

Roland 540 ECO 5500

• MCVP Matte Calendar Vinyl ESM

Settings for HP 5500

• Open File in Photo Shop, back off black saturation 15%, assign the HP Plain ICC profile while in PhotoShop and save as a tiff. Open the file in Onxy, use the Photo Paper RC matte UV profile, change the black channel to 'dot 5-1.  also set the drying time to 2 min.
